Ingredient Summary:

Kelp extract Kelp is rich in Iodine (a trace mineral that converts to iodide). Iodine helps to regulate thyroid hormone production, preventing dry hair and hair loss. The condition of hair, skin and nails are dependent upon a well functioning thyroid gland.

L-Tyrosine L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that plays a part in the production of thyroid hormones as well as for neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine. Tyrosine is a conditionally essential amino acid which works in the presence of Ascorbate (vitamin C). Tyrosine is a nutritional co-precursor of thyroid hormones and some neurochemicals called catecholamines which are natural hormonal substances that act as extra cellular messengers between the brain, central nervous tissue and endocrine system.

Tyrosine is indirectly is a nutritional precursor to dopa, dopamine, norepinephrine (noradrenaline) and epinephrine (adrenaline). Tyrosine is a necessary constituent of normal brain function. Tyrosine passes through the brain-blood barrier, reacting positively with the BCAA's (branched chain amino acids). Tyrosine is primarily concentrated in brain tubulin, an intracellular protein, important for the formation, structure and integrity of neurons and neural pathways.

Taurine Taurine aids the movement of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in and out of cells and thus helps generate nerve impulses.   The amino acid Taurine is a major intracellular amino acid involved in many important physiological processes and is an essential nutrient for the production of thyroid hormones.

Gymnema extract (Gymnema Sylvestre) Gymnema is a woody rain forest vine found in Central and Southern India, the leaf contains a peptide that selectively suppress and interferes with the bodys neural responses to sweet taste stimuli.

Willow bark extract The White Willow is a deciduous tree introduced into the United States from Europe. The bark (was the basis for the synthesis of aspirin) contains the glycoside salicin and related compounds that are absorbed through the intestinal wall and converted to salicylic acid in the blood & livers then excreted in the urine. White Willow Bark contains apigenin, beta-carotene, catechin, lignin, rutin, salicin, salicylic acid, tannin, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc, B-vitamins and vitamin C.
