Psyllium husk & seed (Plantago psyllium)   Psyllium seed husks are the portions of the seeds of the plant Plantago psyllium or Plantago ovata. The husks expand become mucilaginous when wet and are soluble in water, yet are indigestible.   Psyllium seed husks are a good source of soluble fiber, may also help support healthy blood sugar and help lower total LDL cholesterol.

Flax seed (Linium usitatissimum)   Flax seed lignans source of insoluble fiber.

Cascara Sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana)   The seasoned bark of the Cascara Tree(a species of buckthorn) native to western North America, influence the motility of the colon, inhibition of stationary and stimulation of propulsive contractions. Cascara stimulates active chloride secretions, increases water and electrolyte content, and stimulates peristalisis.

Ginger root (Zingiber officinale)   Ginger root is a common spice from the rhizome of the monocotyledonous perennial plant Zingiber officinale. The odor, flavor and action of ginger root is caused by a mixture of zingerone, shoagoles and gingerols, volatile oils that compose about 2% of fresh ginger by weight .

Cape Aloe leaf (Aloe ferox)   Cape Aloe is a species of a flowering succulent plant in the genus Aloe containing substances that are purgative.

Senna Leaf Extract (Cassia angustifolia)   Senna is a purgative herb with active ingredients anthraquinone derivatives and their glucosides. Senna's action is on the lower bowel where it can increase peristaltic movements of the colon.

Oregon Grape Root Extract (Mahonia aquifolium)   Oregon-grape (Mahonia aquifolium, Berberidaceae) is an evergreen shrub related to the barberry, a native plant on the North American west coast, that contains the active alkaloid berberine.

Magnesium (citrate)   Magnesium citrate is the citrate salt of the element magnesium. Magnesium citrate can attract water from tissues, in the intestine, it can attract enough water to induce the bowels to defecate.   Magnesium relaxes smooth muscle, helps dilate blood vessels and maintains blood flow.

Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis)   Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis) from the dried mucilaginous root is is harvested in late fall, has demulcent, diuretic, emollient, and vulnerary properties.

Fennel Seed Extract (Foeniculum vulgare)   Fennel seed from a species in the genus Foeniculum, native to southern Europe traditionally used to occasionally alleviate gas and cramping.

Plum Fruit Extract (prune)   A prune is a dried fruit of various plum species.

Turkey Rhubarb root (Rheum palmatum)   Rhubarb root comes from a perennial plant that grows from thick short rhizomes, comprising the genus Rheum that contain anthraquinones, such as emodin and rhein.   Turkey rhubarb, is one of the few perennial vegetables in existence. Chinese rhubarb, which is called da huang in traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese rhubarb has a much stronger taste and properties than the common American variety. Pectin (from Grapefruit) (Citrus paradisi)   Grapefruit pectin is a soluble dietary fiber and one of the basic soluble fibers (the others are lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose). Goldenseal root (Hydrastis canadensis)   Goldenseal is a perennial herb in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, native North America containing the isoquinoline alkaloids; hydrastine, berberine, berberastine, hydrastinine tetrahydroberberastine, canadine, and canalidine.

Lactobacillus acidophilus   Lactobacillus acidophilus in the genus Lactobacillus is a resident probiotic that produces enzymes to digest protein, fat and lactase (ferments lactose into lactic acid). Acidophilus assists in the production of niacin, folic acid, and pyridoxine during digestion and assist in bile deconjugation (separating amino acids from bile acids).
